These Terms of Use (hereinafter, the ‘Terms’) regulate the use of SOSvirtual (hereinafter, ‘the Platform’), as the virtual e-learning education service of SOS Children’s Villages International. By accessing and using the Platform, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any of them, please do not use the Platform. The following conditions are binding for any user of the Platform.

1. Use of the virtual platform and user obligations.
The user undertakes to use the virtual platform, content and services without contravening current legislation, generally accepted practices and public order. The use of the virtual platform for unlawful or harmful purposes against SOSvirtual or a third party, which may in any way cause harm or prevent the normal use of the online campus, is prohibited.
SOSvirtual guarantees that the content and services offered by the portal respect the principles of human dignity, protection of youth and children, and non-discrimination on the grounds of race, sex, religion, opinion, nationality, disability or any other personal or social aspect.
These Terms of Use of the virtual platform do not grant the user any other right of use, alteration, exploitation, reproduction, distribution or public communication of the content of the virtual platform other than those expressly provided herein.
The content (information, sound and/or image files, photographs, designs, etc.) included in the portal is the property of SOSvirtual and SOS Children’s Villages International, and is duly authorised for dissemination by its legitimate owners.
SOSvirtual, as a non-profit entity, undertakes not to carry out misleading advertising and, therefore, the following is prohibited:
- Use for any commercial or advertising purposes other than those strictly permitted.
- Its reproduction, publication, distribution or modification, in whole or in part, unless prior written authorisation has been obtained from its legitimate owners or it is legally permitted.
- Any infringement of the rights of SOSvirtual, SOS Children’s Villages International or their legitimate owners over them.
2. Intellectual and industrial property
The user acknowledges and accepts that all industrial and intellectual property rights over the content and/or any other elements inserted in the virtual platform belong to SOSvirtual and SOS Children’s Villages International, or are duly authorised for dissemination through the virtual platform.
If a user or third party considers that their legitimate intellectual property rights have been violated by the inclusion of certain content in the online campus, they must notify SOSvirtual of this circumstance, indicating:
- Personal data of the data subject who owns the allegedly infringed rights, or indication of the capacity in which they act if the claim is submitted by a third party other than the data subject.
- Identify the content protected by intellectual property rights and its location on the virtual platform, provide evidence of the intellectual property rights indicated, and include an express statement in which the interested party assumes responsibility for the truthfulness of the information provided in the notification.
3. Links
The content on the Platform provides links to other own websites and content owned by third parties.
The sole purpose of the links is to provide المستخدمون with the possibility of accessing them. SOSvirtual is not responsible under any circumstances for the results that may arise for the user from accessing such links.
Any user intending to establish any technical linking device from their website to the portal must obtain prior written authorisation from SOSvirtual.
The establishment of the link does not imply, in any case, the existence of relations between SOSvirtual and the owner of the site on which the link is established, nor the acceptance or approval by SOSvirtual of its content or services.
The online campus on which the link is established shall not contain any trademark, name, logo, slogan or other distinctive signs belonging to SOSvirtual, except those expressly authorised.
4. Regulatory compliance
The Platform complies with the provisions of the EU e-Commerce Directive (Directive 2000/31/EC) and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
5. Unilateral modification and duration
SOSvirtual reserves the right to modify, at any time and without prior notice, the presentation and configuration of the virtual platform, as well as these Terms of Use.
6. Exclusion of warranties and liability
SOSvirtual provides no warranty and is not liable, under any circumstances, for damages of any nature that may arise due to:
- The lack of availability, maintenance and effective functioning of the virtual platform and/or its services or content.
- The existence of viruses, malicious or harmful programmes in the

7. Processing of personal data
SOSvirtual, as stated in its “PRIVACY POLICY”, which can be consulted through this link, has adopted security levels appropriate to the data it processes and manages, incorporating all means and technical measures available to ensure confidentiality and prevent misuse, loss, alteration, unauthorised access and theft.

Our failure to require strict compliance with any provision of these Terms of Use shall not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.

These Terms shall be governed and interpreted in accordance with the laws of Austria, the country of operation of SOS Children’s Villages International, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
