Active fatherhood: Towards participatory family environments

MOOC (Self-Paced)

PRESENTATION

In our organisation, we recognise that working from the perspective of active fatherhood is fundamental to reduce the gender gap in family care. Through this approach, we seek to generate reflections that lead to concrete attitudes and actions to reduce the risk of family separation and improve the participation of fathers and male caregivers in the positive upbringing of their children, transcending the merely biological conception of fatherhood.

This MOOC course is specially designed for collaborators who work in preventive actions against family separation in the Family Strengthening Programmes of the SOS Children’s Villages Federation. It is organised in three modules that will accompany you in the reflection and application of the parenting approach.

During the course, we will provide you with the necessary tools to encourage the full participation of fathers and male caregivers in the home. You will learn practical and effective strategies to prevent family separation and violence, thus promoting safe and healthy environments for our children.

We invite you to immerse yourself in this learning journey, which aims to contribute to reducing the gender gap in family care through the perspective of active fatherhood.
