Brought about by a changing internal and external landscape, the brand refresh boldly marks a move from the “what we do” of our organization, towards the “why we are here”. Delve into the Brand Positioning E-learning to explore SOS Children’s Villages revitalized belief, desire and purpose – all centred on our WHY.

With a common understanding of our global brand positioning, we can better align our efforts and jointly leverage the strengths of our brand on behalf of children and young people who have lost parental care or are at risk of losing it.


After you have completed the Brand Positioning E-learning course, you will have achieved the following learning objectives:

  • Understanding of the WHY of SOS Children’s Villages.

  • Ability to connect with the WHY of the organization.

  • Understanding of the proper definition of our target group.

  • Ability to reference our target group in a dignifying and empowering way.


  • The new positioning aims to reflect who we are today and express who we aim to become by 2030. As such, the Brand Positioning E-learning is relevant for all co-workers of SOS Children’s Villages, as it serves to align our efforts behind a joint cause to better achieve our objectives, regardless of whether someone is working in one of our many programmes or in fundraising, finance or HR.

    We recommend that it also be used as an on-boarding tool for new staff.
