What will we learn?

The eLearning course will introduce the main aspects that volunteers need to know about interacting with young people who have lost parental care or are at risk of losing it.

Developed in collaboration with young people and volunteers themselves, the learning journey promises to be highly interactive – with video, audio, animation, and activity elements that come together in a dynamic experience!

After taking this course, volunteers will be able to ensure the highest safeguarding standards, be prepared for any challenges they might encounter in their role and be equipped with tools for virtual facilitation.

For whom we designed it?

This course is customized according to volunteer’s needs. Because we want to make sure their experience is meaningful but also efficient, we imagined 3 types of learning journeys:

  • For Mentors interacting with young people, who offer career guidance and skills training;
  • For Internship Supervisors, who empower interns to make the most out of their work experience;
  • And also for you, SOS Children’s Villages co-workers, who engage with young people, external partners and volunteers.

How can volunteers access it?

They will have to create an account by using this access link. Their account will be valid for 90 days.
