This course is based on the Youth participation user guide.

This global document explains what youth participation is and how we can implement it in our programmes.

Taking this course will enable you to get a better understanding of these guidelines and how to implement them in your daily work. This will ultimately lead to increased youth participation in our SOS Children’s Villages programmes

💡 TARGET GROUP:

This e-learning course is designed for all care practitioners at SOS Children’s Villages who want to deepen their knowledge on youth participation, including:

  • care professionals or staff working and living with young people, such as SOS parents, family assistants, foster parents and youth workers

  • professionals who support biological parents in family strengthening​

  • people who support those care professionals, such as programme managers, village directors, local youth coordinators, leaving care workers, integration coordinators​
  • people who are responsible for designing local and national youth work, e.g. national youth coordinators, programme managers, national directors, IPD and FD staff working on youth projects and partnerships

  • staff in the General Secretariat interested in youth participation

  • national, regional and international management and local leaders in the programme locations

  • youth leaders, youth facilitators and youth advocates
