About this course

In this course you will find relevant information that will help you to create and publish meaningful data visualizations using Power BI, with focus on indicator types, data aggregations, quick measures, DAX queries via Compass DB and other data sources.

Learning goals

  • Equip participants to create and publish meaningful data visualizations using PowerBI, with focus on indicator types, data aggregations, quick measures, DAX queries via CompassDB and other data sources.
  • Additionally the training should be the first step to enable participants to train other co-workers on Compass and PowerBI topics.

What you can expect

  • Analysis of sponsorship data and development; combine data from FRNow (sponsorships) with data from finance
  • Consolidate data from MAs in one central Excel file, create reports for analysis and benchmarking, usually in the form of Pivot Tables and Pivot Charts
  • Statistical Key Figures plan actual comparisons
  • Comparing e.g. Dsapp and PDB in Power BI
  • Connect several indicators and underlying possible correlations
  • Create own reports in PowerBI on data which is available but not yet aggregated in Compass.

  • The basic building blocks of PowerBI: Visualizations, Datasets, Reports, Dashboards
  • Basics about PowerBI Desktop: Connecting, Combining, Cleaning data
